Meet the Staff!

Donato “Dan” Gaeta is the co-owner and co-operator of the John Bale Book Company and is the chief bookman! In addition to being a bookseller with 20+ years of experience, Dan specializes in being a generalist with a focus on the unique, the curious, and the unexpected!

Edith “Ede” Reynolds is the co-owner and co-operator of the John Bale Book Company and is the chief operating officer! She is a published author (all books can be ordered directly from the John Bale Book Company) and a Connecticut advocate for economic development and environmental safety!

Krista DiFiore is the manager of JoBa Cafe and a master of delicious foods! She is in charge of our daily lunch special and both of our daily soup specials! Always willing to customize orders to meet one’s dietary needs, Krista’s menus are a staple of downtown Waterbury’s lunch scene.

Bilal Tajildeen is the apprentice bookman and the supervisor of the John Bale Book Company’s internship with the University of Connecticut. Since graduating UConn with an English degree in May 2014, he is always eager to share his enthusiasm about the special collections at the John Bale Book Company!

Johnathan Rameriz is the stock manager for JoBa Cafe and is our resident latte aficionado! When he isn’t out making delivers to our customers in the downtown area, he can usually be found making sure that all our customers are well taken care of!

Jessica Buonocore is the morning manager for JoBa Cafe and is in charge of daily preparations and morning baking! In addition to being a zen master frittata maker, she is also an experimental soup scientist and is in the process of perfecting several exciting soup recipes kept at the John Bale Book Company!
